After 1918 Giorgio de Chirico became caught up in the Return to Order trend that swept the arts in the Post War period. He went as far as attempting to reinvent himself as a Classical artist. Over the years, however, he continued to also produce work based on both Classical and Metaphysical themes, sometimes mixing the two. |
