    Modern Painters of Reality were a group of Italian painters formed in 1947 by Gregorio Sciltian, Antonio Bueno and Xavier Bueno. Pietro Annigoni, Giovanni Acci, Alfredo Serri and many other soon joined. They were in open opposition to the Abstract movements. Although the group was short-lived, it produced an interesting body of work, related to Magic Realism.
